High Tea at the Burj Khalifa in At.mosphere

Last month we had our first “High Tea” in Dubai served at the tallest tower in the world, the Burj Khalifa. I made reservations a week in advance and didn’t have any trouble getting a table since it was on a Tuesday. The afternoon tea included a selection of scones, sandwiches, quiches and desserts with obligatory mocktails, juices, tea, and coffee.

At 1,350 feet high on the 122nd floor, the At.mosphere lounge couples serene ambiance with impressive views of downtown from every angle of the restaurant.

The entrance to the Burj leads directly to a counter where an escort takes you up the 123 floors in a (fast) elevator.

The view of Downtown Dubai from the 123rd floor – with stairs leading down to the 122nd floor.

Even the bathroom had great views!

Of course there was a harpist to set the mood.

The High Tea began with delicious juice and small skewers of fruit.

More delicious juice and mocktails were offered and enjoyed.

A platter of sandwiches, quiches and desserts was served next – yum!

The cook was even kind enough to do versions without cheese for me which I really appreciated (not pictured).

The next round of goodies included scones served with jams, cream, and custard. Completely delicious and oh so filling. For some reason I don’t have any pictures of the tea and coffee that came at the same time… I guess I must have been distracted by the good food!

Our view of Dubai as the sun began to set and the delicious afternoon tea came to an end.

Beautiful decor, delicious morsels, and great views made this unique experience one definitely worth repeating.

Note for the traveler: I wouldn’t recommend going to At.mosphere on the weekend. I’ve heard it can get extremely busy and lose some of its charm once packed with people.

  1. Hi my wife and my daughter will be visiting dubai soon.In such case we would like to enjoy an afternoon hi tea at your place.Couyld you please indicate us the rate per person and if we need advance booking.

  2. What was the approx. cost of the high tea experience? Is it all inclusive or ala carte? We’ll be there in September. You indicated a weekday is better, correct?

    1. Hi Paul,
Yes, I definitely recommend booking on a weekday rather than a busy weekend. I would also try to book in advance as some weeks/months can be very busy (I called 888-3828, but there may be a way to book online?). If you want a high tea, it will be an all inclusive experience and should cost about 290 dirhams (or 350 dirhams with champagne). That’s about $80 US Dollars or $95 respectively. On the day of the tea, go to Gate 3 near the Armani store and show your confirmation number. I hope you enjoy your experience!
