I finally got around to taking pictures of our new apartment today. I’m so sorry to all of you who’ve been patiently waiting for me to post. Every day I’ve gotten home from work the lighting has been less than ideal (ie. it was dark out!). Since it’s Thursday (which is like Friday in the States) I was able to come home early from work and take some shots just for *you.*
The name of our 57-story apartment is “Manazel Al Safa” and we’re located on the 26th floor. There are only 6 apartments on each floor and we have a corner unit.
When you walk in the front door you enter directly into the shared living room and dining room space.
One of the greatest features of the apartment is the tall windows that allow lots of light to stream into our space. The office/guest room has an especially great view of the city below showcased by two corner windows. On a clear day you can see the Persian Gulf sparkling at the end of the city. On an even better day, you can get a glimpse of the famous “World” Islands growing out of the water in the distance.
Our bedroom faces the same direction and the city lights at night are absolutely fantastic. We have built-in closets that are great for organization and storage. Please note: Jordon’s closet is way more organized than mine. Can you guess whose is whose?
The kitchen is modern with granite counter tops, a stainless steel fridge, a hidden dishwasher (made to look like the cupboards) and a flat electric stove. The one major pain about the kitchen it that it doesn’t have a garbage disposal. Why you ask? I have no clue!
We have three bathrooms, two showers and a bathtub – but no bathroom electrical sockets. I’m not sure the reason for this oversight, but it’s a small thing that drives me insane considering I have an electric toothbrush and a hairdryer that I use on a daily basis. But the bathrooms are beautiful and we love the water pressure in the shower.
This is where I keep my hairdryer plugged in (in the office/guest bedroom) since there are NO PLUGS (ugh) in any of the bathrooms.
Did I mention the apartment is located near the Burj Khalifa (the tallest building in the world)? In the photo below the Burj Khalifa is on the left, the Millennium Tower is in the middle, and our building is on the far right.
…and… this is the view we get to enjoy from the pool area.
To say we feel lucky about the beautiful apartment and location is an understatement!
